Restate Inc. and its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively, “Restate” “we” “us” or “our”) values the privacy of our customers and the safety of their personal information.
When you communicate with Restate, use the restatehomes.com site, and Restate’s other domains, advertising products, services, or mobile application (collectively, the “Services”), we gather information about you to enhance our relationship with you. In this Privacy and Security Policy ("Policy"), we outline the types and sources of information we collect, how we utilize it, when it might be shared with others, and how we ensure its security and confidentiality. By using the Services, you consent to the data practices detailed in this Policy. If you do not agree with these practices, please refrain from accessing or using the Services. Before submitting any Personal Information (as defined below) to Restate through the Services, please review this Policy carefully and contact us if you have any queries.
How We Use Your Information Information Provided by You
We are committed to managing any personal information you share with us when using our Services appropriately. Personal information refers to any information that can identify an individual, such as names, financial information, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, driver’s license numbers, or social security numbers, among other identifiable data (collectively, “Personal Information”).
We use the Personal Information you provide to perform the function you give it for. For example, if you're applying for a Restate product, we use that Personal Information to assess your eligibility. Restate may also use the Personal Information you provide to inform you about other information and services we believe will interest you. We may use the Personal Information you provide in other ways with your consent or at your direction.
Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
To offer the best online experience possible, we use various tools and techniques to gather and analyze website visits and sessions. One way we collect information about customer visits is through cookies. Some of the Services may use cookies, web tags, or other tracking technologies. A cookie is a piece of information that a website stores on a user’s computer, which the user’s browser provides to the website each time a query is submitted. A web tag is code or a pixel embedded in a web page or email, allowing Restate or a third party to see that you have viewed that page.
We use cookies and web tags to enable our servers to recognize your web browser and inform us about your use of the Services. Our cookies alone do not contain information that personally identifies you, and we don’t combine the information collected through cookies with other such information to tell us who you are. However, we do use cookies to identify that you have logged in and that your web browser has accessed the Services. If you have an agreement with Restate, we may also store unique or near-unique identifiers that we associate with your Restate account in our cookies.

Information in our tools
We provide planning tools, such as calculators, for your use. We currently do not store information that you enter into one of these planning tools or calculators in a format that identifies you. We do not vouch for the accuracy and use of these tools and you should independently verify the results.
Location Information
In some cases, we collect and store information about your location, such as by converting your IP Address into a rough geolocation. We may use location information to improve and personalize the Services for you, for example by showing you relevant local content.
How We Protect Personal Information
We take numerous measures to protect your Personal Information. In line with industry standards, we have implemented security policies to protect and safeguard the Personal Information under our control from unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorized modification, unlawful destruction, or accidental loss. We authorize our employees, agents, service providers, and contractors to access information about you only when they need it to do their work for us (e.g., in order to process your application and to originate and manage your Restate agreement). The Safeguarding and Distribution of Personal Information
Your privacy is paramount. Consequently, we do not share the information we receive from you unless: (a) we obtain explicit authorization from you to disclose said information; (b) we have provided you with sufficient advance notice of the data disclosure, including the recipients; or (c) the information is generalized data or other information that does not allow you to be identified.
In certain circumstances, we may transmit information we obtain from you to lenders, real estate agents, insurance companies, or other relevant third parties who can contribute to your property buying and/or homeownership journey. There may be instances when we need to transmit personal information to third parties, such as service providers, for our business operations. We may distribute your personal information amongst our associated companies, and our successors and assignees, to enhance our service to you, notify you of programs and services that may be of interest, and fulfill any other activities reasonably required for our business operations.

Additional Privacy Notice for California Residents Overview

What is Not Collected: Biometric information Genetic, physiological, behavioral, and biological characteristics, or activity patterns used to extract a template or other identifier or identifying information, such as, fingerprints, faceprints, and voiceprints, iris or retina scans, keystroke, gait, or other physical patterns, and sleep, health, or exercise data. Non-public education information Education records directly related to a student maintained by an educational institution or party acting on its behalf, such as grades, transcripts, class lists, student schedules, student identification codes, student financial information, or student disciplinary records. Access to Information Unless your personal information is excluded from the scope of the CCPA, you have the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months. Deletion Requests Rights Unless your personal information is excluded from the scope of the CCPA, you have the right to request that we delete any of your personal information that we collected from you and retained, subject to exceptions. Please note that the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and the CCPA allows us to keep certain forms of data for recordkeeping purposes and/or to complete any transactions that you began prior to requesting a change or deletion. Only you or a person registered with the California Secretary of State that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. You may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child. You may only make a verifiable consumer request twice within a 12-month period. The verifiable consumer request must:

Additional State Privacy Notice Addendum (Colorado, Utah, Virginia, Connecticut, Vermont & Other States) Definitions As used in this Addendum: (a) “Applicable State Data Protection Laws” means (i) the Colorado Privacy Act of 2021, the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act of 2021, the Utah Consumer Privacy Act of 2022, ,or the Connecticut Data Privacy Act of 2022 (CTDPA) as amended, or (ii) any other applicable US state Law enacted for the purpose of protecting Personal Data. Consumer Data Rights Subject to certain limitations, to the extent that Restate is processing any of your Personal Data in scope of the Applicable State Data Protection Laws, you have the right to (1) request to know more about the categories and specific pieces of Personal Data we collect, use, disclose and sell, and to access your information, (2) request deletion of your Personal Data, (3) request correction of your Personal Data and (4) not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Information Security Restate shall maintain appropriate technical and organizational measures with regard to Customer Personal Data to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk in accordance with this Addendum and as otherwise expressly stated. Compliance Information Upon the reasonable request of Customer, Restate shall make available to Customer reasonable information, consistent with and in accordance with applicable Laws, in Restate’s possession necessary to demonstrate Restate’s compliance with Restate’s obligations in this Addendum.
